ARW Token Migration ​

To resolve limitations in the existing contract and enhance liquidity, we’ve decided to proceed with a token migration that will better support the long-term growth of the Arowana ecosystem.

We identified critical issues in the previous contract and have deployed a new contract to address them.

This upgrade makes $ARW more secure and transparent, removing critical limitations and laying a stronger foundation for the long term growth of the Arowana ecosystem.

Token from ETH Mainnet (0x351cAa9045D65107b9d311D922D15887cfd634E4) would be able to redeem new token on ARB (0x747952A59292a9B3862F3C59664B95e8B461eF45) on the new migraiton website.

Background: ARW Brand Transfer ​ ​

The ARW token migration is the result of a formal Token Brand Transfer Agreement executed on June 10, 2025.

Parties

  • AROWANA TECH PTE. LTD (the original issuer) — issued the original ARW token on Ethereum mainnet (0x351cAa…634E4).
  • Cobeex FZE (the new operator) — issues and operates the new ARW token on Arbitrum.

Under this agreement, the original issuer transferred the entire "ARW / Arowana Token" brand to the new operator, and the new operator took on the responsibility of running a token swap for existing holders. This is why ARW now operates on Arbitrum under a new contract.

What was transferred ​ ​

The brand transfer covered all assets tied to the "ARW" and "Arowana Token" identity, including:

  • Rights to the "ARW" and "Arowana Token" names
  • Logos, symbols, and design assets
  • Domains, the official website, and official social and community channels
  • Any related trademark rights or goodwill

The transfer was made free of charge. As an essential condition of the transfer, the new operator committed to faithfully supporting a 1:1 swap for the original token holders.

Token swap ​ ​

  • Ratio: 1:1 (original ETH token → new ARB token)
  • Swap window: June 29 – September 30, 2025 (a 3-month period)
  • How it worked: Holders swapped directly through the migration UI by submitting their own request — there was no snapshot-based airdrop. Only holders who actively submitted a swap were processed.
  • Gas fees: Borne by each holder.
  • After the window: As of October 1, 2025, the right to a 1:1 swap has expired and the migration UI may be closed. Holders may still contact help@arowana.finance, but any additional support is entirely at the new operator's discretion and is not guaranteed.

Status of the original token ​ ​

  • The original ARW token on Ethereum is discontinued. The original issuer will not mint additional supply or launch any new business under the "ARW" or "Arowana Token" name.
  • The original token was not listed on any centralized exchange (CEX), so no delisting process was required.
  • Listing and token information on platforms such as CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko was reassigned to the new operator.

The brand transfer agreement is governed by UAE law, with disputes resolved by arbitration under the SIAC rules (seat: Singapore).
